You can be verified as a human anonymously, or choose to share your real name. Your identity is yours. Always.
You identify yourself through W Identity, a separate app that scans your passport or national identity card and verifies you directly on your own device. You stay in control of what you share with other apps and services. Your ID data is stored only on your device unless you choose to share specific parts of it.
W gives you two options: appear with your full name or verified as a human anonymously. In both cases, you verify through W Identity, so W can confirm that you are a real, unique person. If you choose to stay anonymous, your full identity stays private, while verified attributes such as age verification and nationality help build trust and reduce fake accounts.
Access to your W Social account is controlled by a secure list of approved devices. If you lose one of these devices, it can be disconnected from your W Social account. Disconnecting a device will prevent it from accessing your account. You can then re-verify on a new device.
W is built on the AT-Protocol, an open standard for global social networking.
